I bought our voucher from Groupon so it worked out as $29 per person. The Groupon app says it should be $54 per person.
There are two sittings a day, on the weekend at least, one at 12pm and one at 2pm. We booked the 2pm sitting (though we both swore we decided to book the 12pm one!).
Upon arrival we were taken to two comfortable armchairs overlooking the river and we were brought a glass of bubbly each and settled in whilst our food selection was put together.
Next up we were brought out a three tier tray with our food which comprised:
Smoked salmon and dill cream cheese roulade on wholemeal
Chicken and asparagus vol au vents
Open Reuben sandwiches
Freshly-baked scones with strawberry and Champagne jam, and Chantilly cream
Whiskey maple pecan tartlet with maple whip cream
Opera cake – layers of almond sponge, coffee-scented buttercream and dark chocolate ganache
Toasted coconut, passionfruit and lemon curd slice
You can apparently order extra food and initially we thought that we might have too but it was the perfect amount.
To finish our afternoon we were offered tea or coffee and enjoyed a lovely cup of Earl Grey and peppermint tea.
I would highly recommend paying a visit for high tea if you are in the mood for one in Brisbane, especially if you can make use of the Groupon deal. I hope that I can visit again in the future for another round.
