I am very grateful for a lot of things and thought that as we end the year I would just share a few of them below.
1) My family, friends and the Aussie – I have such an amazingly supportive circle of people around me both in the UK and Australia and I am grateful every day for them and that they are there for me.
2) My health – last New Years Eve I was supposed to travel from my parents to my friend Becky’s house near Sheffield to ring in the New Year but I had to cancel because I hurt my back walking. This year as you know I have been going to the gym and in the last few months have been working with a Personal Trainer. I’m still not where I want to be but I can see a massive change in me physically and mentally, not just from the aching muscles alone!
3) Brisbane – the fact that we live here! We decided we wanted to live in Brisbane in September 2015 when we visited before and after our trip to the Whitsundays but I had to finish qualifying as a lawyer before looking for a job at the end of 2016. I did that last December and then the hunt was on. At times I thought we would never get here but in June we made the big move and we are really enjoying the change of pace and everything that Brisbane has on offer and we have only just begun exploring.
