We had a hectic but fun December and I have enjoyed looking back over my photos from the month to compile my December faves photos which are below.
Top left down:
First Christmas Tree – found at Singapore Airport on our way back to Darwin from Bali.
Star – when we got back from Bali I went and bought our first Brisbane Christmas Tree for the living room. The tree was a bit on the small side but it was lovely to have a tree up for the festive season.
Gingerbread Man – we went for a wander around the city to look at the Christmas decorations and and found this guy who happily posed for pics!
Santa Koala – we spent a weekend down on the Gold Coast in the middle of the month and visited Surfers Paradise where we found another Koala so of course a picture was required!
Draculas Haunted House – a while ago we visited Draculas Cabaret and were aware that there was a haunted house somewhere nearby. Whilst wandering through Surfers Paradise we found the Haunted House and it was actually quite good fun. I’m planning on writing about our trip in a few weeks.
Beach Time – more Surfers Paradise pictures. We paddled for a little while before I promptly tripped over smacking both of my knees. It was a lovely place to hang out for a while.
Nepalese Peace Pagoda – whilst we had visitors we took a walk around the South Bank area and had a proper look at the Peace Pagoda which was erected during Expo 88.
David Jones Christmas Parade and Santa – my review of the parade is here. I love Christmas and this was the perfect way to enjoy the festive season.
Lights at City Hall – every year City Hall is lit up with a story. We only briefly stopped by because we were on our way to the bus station but it is something we will check out properly next year.
Penguin decs – I love penguins and my friend Becky sent me a handmade Christmas tree decoration which is perfect for my tree. He will have pride of place on my future Christmas Trees.
Festive Nails and Pitch Perfect 3- to celebrate the end of work for the year, Naomi and I went and had our nails done, had a photo with Santa (it’s becoming a tradition) and watched Pitch Perfect 3. Dinner with the Aussie made it the perfect afternoon.
Baileys and Celebrations – 5.30am gym session! – Totally worth it and was good to be back in the gym after the Christmas break.
Home made dumplings – The Aussie went sailing in the Manly area so Naomi suggested we try making home made dumplings. We had an unsuccessful trip to the supermarket to find the wrappers so we made them from scratch and they were amazing. We have plans to perfect our dumplings and to try and make some dessert dumplings as well.
New Years Eve – we had a hectic but very fun Christmas to New Year period which was topped off with New Years at South Bank watching the fireworks.
I am looking forward to seeing what January has to bring now the New Year is here.
