This post is a bit late today but it’s been a busy old time the last week or so and I’m writing it on my lunchbreak!
On Tuesday last week (21st August) we finally got to go and see Pink live in concert in Brisbane on her Beautiful Trauma Tour.
I have wanted to go and see Pink live for years and never quite managed it. The funny thing was that just before the tour was announced me and my friends had had a discussion in which we had declared that when she next tours we would go! So as soon as the tour was announced we had to make it happen.
The actual ticket buying process was a nightmare! We spent hours at a time over several days trying to get into the site to buy them. On a couple of occasions we thought we had them and then the site would crash. Somehow I managed to be on the site just as further dates were released so I managed to secure three tickets for the 21st August 2018.
In the run up to the concert poor Pink became unwell and was admitted to hospital. Thankfully she recovered well and whilst some dates were moved around ours were not. It was crazy reading all of the negative comments from her so called fans but thankfully she recovered well.
On the day we arrived nice and early and dutifully queued up for a tshirt (it had to be done!). We then made our way into the stadium to the standing room only spot.
It was a long old wait for Pink on our feet (I am so glad I had lost weight or it would have been agony) but we were entertained by a Dj and the Rubens who I really enjoyed and have been listening to since the concert a bit as well. Nice way to introduce them Ms Pink!
Then the show began and Pink came literally flying on to the stage on a chandelier suspended in the air! She sang danced flew around us for several hours in a show which was literally non stop.
We were treated to the old classics as well as a couple of cover songs which were perfectly done. Even though she never stopped, her singing was on point through out.
At times she literally had her life in the hands of her very strong dancers as she dangled with no support wires from their hands and legs. It was amazing.
She also took the time to introduce every singer, musician and dancer to us which was pretty special.
I took a lot of photographs which I’ve put into a collage below and I can highly recommend going to see Pink when she gets to your town as you will not regret it. standing for about 4 hours was worth it when you got to see the spectacle that we did.
