Today is New Years Eve which will round of 2018 for us all.
This year has been crazy world wise and I still shake my head about the things which have happened and continue to happen day to day.
My 2018 has by contrast been pretty amazing and I realise that I am extremely lucky that this is the case.
I have continued loosing weight, getting fitter, healthier and stronger and I am so happy with how I have progressed, in no small part due to the support I receive from my Trainer / Coach Felicity Neale. I can genuinely say that I love working out and being fitter and healthier and I am very excited about what next year will bring. I laugh at the fact that when I was at school I would literally do anything to get out of PE! How times have changed.
I also loved having my family here in Brisbane with me and the Aussie. I enjoyed showing them around where we live so that when I talk about a place they know where I mean. Of course we also visited Sydney for the first time ever which was pretty special as well.
I have had a fantastic year with the Aussie. Now we are settled in Brisbane we have begun the task of exploring where we live and I love exploring and discovering new places with him. We have only seen a teeny bit of Queensland so far and I am looking forward to seeing what we discover next.
I also loved all of the times I have been able to spend time with my lovely friend Naomi. She often goes along with my hair brained exercise schemes, mostly willingly (!) and we have the best of times together. I think 2019 is really going to be even better and even more fin!
There has also been culture from P!nk to plays, comedy shows, ballet and the strange and the wonderful at the Brisbane Festival. A few of our tickets were purchased with very little idea of what we would find and I can definitely say I don’t regret any of the experiences we have had.
Finally I have had an absolutely brilliant Christmas at home in the UK with both my family and the Aussie. We have been out and about, caught up with my friends (with a few more scheduled) and have some time planned with my extended family as well. I am extremely lucky that we were able to travel this Christmas and together as well. It has been a very special time
Tonight the Aussie and I will be spending New Years Eve with one of my oldest friends and her Husband in her adopted home town. I miss her a great deal being so far away in Brisbane so any time together is treasured.
As this is my last post of 2018 I would like to wish you the Happiest of New Years.
Here is to a wonderful 2019!
