My name is Vicky and I am an iPhone addict. It’s sadly true no matter how much I try and tell myself that it’s fine I can live without it!
For over a month my phone was away somewhere in Darwin being repaired. I mentioned a while ago that in my tired state I decided to use my iPhone as a torch and promptly dropped it on the floor, shattering 3/4 of the screen. This was on top of the fact that the lock button at the top had stopped working in about October last year, so all in all my iPhone was not doing well.
The Aussie’s friend offered to replace the screen and button, although he fixed the wrong button to start with as he thought it was a different one that was broken and then had to order the correct button which has lead to this lonnng delay to return the phone to me.
I bought a cheapy Nokia phone to tide me over and it’s a smartphone etc but it just isn’t an iPhone which is super easy to use and therein lay my problem!
The phone took much longer to repair than expected but more and more it has been a pain not having my phone, like looking for a photo I know is on the phone, listening to music, checking my bank account or just trying to sort this visa application out.
After my pestering/complaining/being a pain the Aussie got me a temporary iPhone from his friend until mine was repaired, which was helpful but I couldn’t put music on it as there wasn’t enough memory and some of the app’s I use.
The phone came back this week but not after the Aussies friend went to hand it over to him, dropped it and shattered the back of the phone, oops! I’ve got it all back and working and have to say there is something to be said for hooking up your own playlist in the car from your phone blasting it out when your going for a longish drive which I was able to do this morning!
