I love Christmas and the music and the movies that comes with it. My birthday being at the end of November has meant that I have watched a Christmas Movie or two on my actual birthday to kick of the festive season.
As we have been away I haven’t managed to watch any Christmas movies yet but I am looking forward to getting started.
Elf
I saw this movie as a birthday present when the film came out and I just fell in love with it. The film is family friendly and great for adults and children alike. I am a bit of an obvious humour type of girl and I laugh the whole way through the movie even though its maybe a bit childish at times. At the end I even well up a bit (I won’t spoil the ending but its a good one!).
Miracle on 34th Street
I am talking about the newer version of the movie as I’m not sure I have seen the original to be honest. This is a movie my family and I love watching every Christmas. The actors are great and I love to watch the story unfold even if the way they are treating Santa is awful! The ending is great and always makes you feel all glowy!
Love Actually
I have loved this film since it came out but its especially poignant now I am living in Australia when travelling home for Christmas. The line up is fantastic, such a great range of actors and several of my favourites. Its a film where you do laugh and cry along with the characters and hope everything works out.
Home Alone
A Christmas classic! I wasn’t so keen on the sequels but Home Alone is a film I can and have watched over and over when in the Christmas spirit. Its a film which makes me laugh, wonder how on earth Kevin’s parents afford the house let alone the trip for Christmas and wait for the bad guys to get what they deserve!
The Holiday
Who doesn’t love a romantic comedy themed Christmas movie! What amuses me about this film is that the tv stations will show it all year round even though it is clearly a Christmas movie! Another great cast with some sweet love stories making it a great festive watch.
What would be your favourite Christmas movie that you watch every year?
