January was a bit calmer than November and December turned out to be and looking through my phone pictures it appears I didn’t take a huge amount of photos but the ones I did take I loved.

Our first day of 2018 was spent in Manly at the wading pool with our friends who stayed for Christmas. It was a very lovely way to spend the day before we dropped them off at the airport for the next leg of their jounery and I’ve definitely never been swimming outside on New Years Day before!
Some of the Aussie’s friends stayed with us for a couple of nights whilst I was still on the Christmas break from work and we took them into the city via bus and ferry to go and have dinner at The Story Bridge Hotel which was delicious as always. I love the city view every time we visit but especially at night and can’t resist snapping a few photos.
Before going to see the Greatest Showman we stopped of for a coffee and I got to try out a white chocolate chai latte at the Max Brenner chocolate shop. To pour the latte you put the “tea pot” on top of the glass mug and it filters through. It was very sweet but also quite nice!
I tried out some protein pancakes and they were a touch hit and miss looks wise but tasted pretty good!
Another visit from our local possum and this time I fed her some carrots!
We had some of the Aussies family staying with us towards the end of the month so we took them to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. It was the perfect excuse to hug a Koala (you cannot visit and not hold one I think) and we managed to spot a Tasmanian Devil (pictured) and a very cute platypus!
Also whilst the family was staying with us we spent an afternoon at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. It was a typical Aussie beach scene complete with lifeguards and we did some swimming and paddling!
Deliveries! I have had a few this month (oops). I forgot I ordered some healthy bars from The Daily Bar which I wanted to sample and apparently they forgot to send my order out so I got a few extra bars to sample!
New shoes and their pink ish! I don’t need new trainers at the moment but I got a good deal on them care of Groupon and picked these beauties out. I was previously fitted for this style when I bought my current pair of shoes and they fit perfectly and have never rubbed or caused blisters. The new pair are now stored away until my current pair have given up the support and I look forward to trying them out! It is also funny how much I love buying gym clothes these days!
