Day four was our last day in Sydney. The Aussie and I began it with a walk from our hotel to Quay Side to take another look at the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We didn’t quite make sunrise but the view was gorgeous as the sun came up!
We walked back to the hotel to join our family for breakfast. We loved our hotel called the Sydney Hotel CBD. The staff were so lovely and couldn’t help enough. Somehow we kept loosing our room keys inside the rooms and they helped us each time without question!
We had breakfast each day at the little cafe there. The owner seemed to be there all day but he was always smiling, kind and gave us some great tips.
After breakfast it was checkout time and the staff looked after our bags whilst we went for a wander. I wanted to take everyone to the Haigh’s shop in the Queen Victoria Building as my dad is a big chocolate fan. We arrived and I don’t think they disappointed!
It was then just about time to catch our ride to the airport which had been arranged by the hotel for us. Check in flew by and we were soon on our way back to Brisbane.
We had booked flights with Tiger and that always makes me nervous because they are not the greatest at taking off at time and can be very onerous about luggage limits! Luckily they had used a charter plane service for our flight this time and so it was probably the best Tiger flight we will ever have.
All in all the trip was fantastic and we all loved every minute of it. I am excited to get back again to explore, especially the places we didn’t make it too but also the Blue Mountains for a hike.
