For Halloween me, the Aussie and Naomi paid a visit to the Museum of Brisbane for their Fright night at the Museum event.

We haven’t been to the Museum of Brisbane yet and the event included a free fifteen minute tour of the clock tower which can be seen from all over Brisbane CBD so we thought we may as well visit.
The tour began with us waiting at the reception and an actress (we hope it was an actress!) who we named scary lady (original I know) came shuffling into reception with one high heel and one flat shoe looking particularly ghostly! She came shuffling towards us and very kindly focused on me. She seemed to mimic what those around her did which was a bit freaky!
We then walked up to the lift to join the tour of the bell tower. As I went to get into the lift I tried to take a picture through the glass and this happened (see scary!):
The lift tour itself was really interesting, telling the story of how the tower was built and what kind of impact it had on the Brisbane area and we all agreed we would do it again. There weren’t any frightening stories, not sure if that was because there was a child on the tour or because that wasn’t the intention of the tour but it also didn’t matter.
We got out of the lift, which was the same as when it was built, above the clock faces and were treated to almost 360 degree views of Brisbane which was pretty nice.

On the way down we stopped on the floor with the clock faces but didn’t get out, however we still had great views of the clock faces.
At the end of the clock tower tour we were invited to look around the museum which had some good halloween decorations, a Vampire DJ and the scary lady wandering around. At one point I was on my own looking at a display and turned around to find her watching me! I hightailed it out of there.

As we were leaving Naomi and I looked down a corridor which was mainly closed of and found the scary lady still in character walking down the corridor!!! She turned around and we literally ran through the museum (who knew I could run!).
We finished the night at the Museum and headed home through the beautiful entry way to City Hall.
