Man Shopping

March 7, 2014 by Vicky Leave a Comment

… not shopping for a man as in buying them a present which can be stressful enough when you live with the man who has everything, but shopping with the man for their clothes!

It’s been a busy few days with another trip to the local Camera Club where I got second place in the themed competition which was blue for this photo which I was pretty pleased with

Dragon 167/365

Today I managed to drop my iPhone and pretty much shatter the screen before it was even 6am (I knew it was a stupid idea using it as a torch to go to the loo) and won’t be able to get it fixed until the middle of next week so we decided to pop to Casaurina Square after work which is a pretty big mall in Darwin so I could get one of those screen cover things and avoid more bits falling out, water getting in and also getting more splinters from the glass.

When we got there the Aussie decided he wanted to look for new shorts and some casual shoes for wandering around in which I didn’t mind as I quite enjoy a wander around the shops to feed my shopping habit.

He has very specific requirements for his shorts because he wears them to work and fills the pockets up with the bits and bobs he uses when he is out in the field working. I managed to track down what looked like the ideal pair with extremely deep pockets and even a belt but they apparently weren’t quite right!

Maybe these?

Ah well he found the shoes he wanted and the hunt for the perfect shorts continue! I got the screen cover I needed to protect my phone for a bit even if I was terrible at applying it and think I have found someone who won’t charge me the equivalent of a gold bar for repairing it and may even get a discount, fingers crossed.

We finished our shopping expedition with some yummy Thai food for dinner (that looked like the photo below which is from this website. I am starting to really love eating Thai food too.

It looks like we are going to have another jam packed weekend this weekend with some more sailing and also a girlie night out (for me) with my friends from work. It’s time to experience Darwin Night life and to get dressed up for some dinner and dancing!
